Practitioner Licenses are now 8 characters for the Practitioner Profile and 8 characters for License Renewals. For Example:

Use an 8 character license to login to the Practitioner Profile Search. The profile will show the 8 character license number.

Your password is the last 4 digits of your social security number. If you are experiencing difficulties logging in, please email mdh.mbprenewal@maryland.gov.

Under normal circumstances, the online renewal system would close at 11:59 pm (EST) on May 30, 2020 for Respiratory Care Practitioners; however, pursuant to Governor Hogan's Executive Order of March 12, 2020, the Board will extend the expiration date "to the 30th day after the date by which the state of emergency is terminated and the catastrophic health emergency is rescinded."

Pursuant to Governor Hogan's Executive Order of March 9, 2021, the extension of the license renewal period will end on June 30, 2021. If you plan to renew your allied health license, the online license renewal application must be completed on or before the June 30, 2021 deadline. Failure to complete the application by 11:59 p.m. (EST) on June 30, 2021 will cause your allied health license to expire and you will no longer be authorized to practice in Maryland. If your license expires, you will be required to reinstate your allied health license and submit a new criminal history records check.
