Prescribing Opioids for Pain — The New CDC Clinical Practice Guideline

CDC has released the 2022 CDC Clinical Practice Guideline for Prescribing Opioids for Pain, which updates and replaces the 2016 guideline. These guidelines contain recommendations for primary care clinicians who are prescribing opioids for chronic pain outside of active cancer treatment, palliative care, and end-of-life care.
