Information reported to the Board is critical to aid the Board in fulfilling its mission to assure quality health care in Maryland through efficient licensure and effective discipline of health professions under its jurisdiction. The Board has the authority to investigate a complaint of a violation of the Maryland Medical Practice Act as it relates to health care professionals it regulates. Anyone may file a complaint with the Board.

File a Report

Employers are required by Maryland law to make reports to the Board when an employee exhibits unsafe and/or unprofessional conduct that meets certain criteria and the employer takes particular action.
